Banner Project



In this assignment, I produced a banner that was eye catching for the career and learning center dedicated to Ms. Catherine Sykes. I was expected to create a banner using previous knowledge from Computer Graphics 1. In this project, I had to include the basic information such as the “Welcome to…” sign and graphics that was related to the banner such as books, colleges, careers, etc. My final product had bright colors such as yellow and white. The white was the primary paret of the project because it gave information. The yellow served as a border for the banner. I also used graphics such as books and students that have graduated. The elements of art I used were line and shape. I used line in order to cut out the images/graphics on images such as the stack of books. I used shaped in order to create the border and the circle in the middle of the banner. The principles of design I used were balance and unity. I used balanced in order to make sure the project wasn’t all over the place. I made sure everything was equally placed. I used unity by making sure the colors and graphics work with each other. Yes, my sketch represented my design because I followed step by step what I sketched out.
