Cool Colors

Monochromatic

 

In this assignment, I produced a typeface design using my first, middle, and last name, which contained a cool color piece, monochromatic piece, and free choice piece. I was expected to create a typeface design using my full name with a cool or warm color piece, monochromatic piece, and a free choice piece using previous knowledge from Computer Graphics 1. My final products were a picture, abstract piece, and a collogue of letters. My first piece was my cool colors piece and I decided to use my first name. This piece was the collogue of letters in my first name. I used colors such as blue, purple, and green. My second piece was my monochromatic design using my middle name and I created a picture. I used the colors gray, black, and white and I made a picture of a bomb cannon. My last piece was my free choice using my last name and I created abstract art. The elements of art I used were shape and color. I used shape to create the structure of how the design should be set up. I used colors such as cool colors (blue, green, purple), shades of black (black, gray, white) and a mix of all colors such as red, yellow, blue, orange, etc. The principle of design I used balance and emphasis. I used balance by making sure my project didn’t look cluttered and also it didn’t look empty. I used emphasis to by making one letter huge to “emphasize” it’s the main letter in the piece. Yes my sketch accurately represented my final product because I used my sketch in order to give me an idea of how I would like my final product to come out.
